To Our Event Hosts
Thank you for planning a wine education event that you
and your guests will always remember. Our goal is to
learn more about wines with you in an informal, enjoy-
able and entertaining setting.
Once you have selected which program you'd like to
offer, and booked a date with us, here are some tips
to prepare for your event:
1. Your event will require a table and seating for all
participants (8, 10 or 12). For our public events, VIP program or hospitality training, our wine consultants will advise you.
2. Your wine will come ready to serve, and our wine
consultant will assist you with the servings. Please
don't serve alcoholic beverages before the event, and
help us to ensure that your guests drink responsibly.
3. We'll provide the wine and wine glasses. Other favor options for your guests include corkscrews or wine stoppers.
4. Appetizers are optional, but with limited room on the
table, you can keep these light and simple. Why not
choose a before or after meal time to schedule your
event (1-3, 3-5, 7-9 or 8-10 p.m.)?
5. We really do try to keep our events at 2-hours,
which is amazing considering that there are 6-8 wine
samplings and rounds of gaming where contestants
answer questions correctly in order to score and
win prizes. But that shouldn't limit your time! Go
ahead and add an hour before the event to give
your guests time to break the ice... or add an hour
afterward to catch up and mingle. (Our consultant will
arrive 30-40 minutes ahead of time to set up.)
6. For your guests to enjoy greater wine aroma and
flavors, plan your event in a smoke-free and fragrance-
free environment.
7. All guests will be asked to provide us with their name
and verify that they are 21 years of age or older. Plan a
special night out just for grown-ups in which all guests
will be active participants. Our interactive wine tastings
are definitely not spectator events!
8. We'll need a signed photo release form from you and
your guests to be used in our promotions. Don't worry!
If one of your guests is shy or in a witness protection program, we will honor their privacy.
9. We'll set up a Pay Pal account and event registration deadlines for your guests. For parties of eight, guests pay $40/each. Ten to twelve guests are $35/each. We'll work with you on groups 12 or larger.
10. Thank you for inviting our wine consultants to your
location. To ensure your safety, The CONQUERED
Grape screens and trains every consultant. Your
information is never shared and we do not identify
guests by name in our photos. If you wish to provide us
with a testimonial, we use only your first name and
geographic location.
11. The most important role you have as a host is to
invite your friends, family or co-workers to your event.
We have two ways to help you do this:
- Create your own e-vite
OR
- Download our 2-sided postcard invitation, print on
cardstock, fill out, stamp and mail
